Michael Reinhart prepares leaders to make critical decisions when the deal, the company or a life is in danger.
Stories and images are the vehicle by which Michael will entertain and engage your audience while revealing the way to become more resilient using The Four Principles of Effective Critical Decision Making: The Mindset of the Decisive Leader.
The Hells Angels came to town. As a prosecutor in a small office, I was assigned as the lead attorney in what was to become known as the Hells Angels gang case. Sixteen defendants backed by an international organization. The well financed defense looking to pounce on any mistake or misstep. After years of court battles, we were successful. One moment early in the case struck me. That was when one defense attorney mentioned to another that I had competed in and finished the Eco Challenge Expedition Race, one of the toughest races in the world. Two separate parts of my life crossed paths.
My journey has been down two parallel roads. A professional life as a criminal prosecutor and later as a criminal trial court judge making decisions directly affecting the life and liberty of people. A wrong decision could set loose a violent criminal or punish an innocent. My other life has been that of an adventurer. My travels have taken me across four continents and into the jungles of Borneo and Cambodia, the highlands of Guatemala, across Europe, Kenya, and among the Amazigh (Berber) peoples of Morocco. In this world, death is a real consequence of a bad decision. To survive, I had to learn the hard lessons and principles of critical decision making.
There is mindset and there are skills common to successful explorers and adventurers. I have lived and studied them. The result is The Four Principles of Effective Critical Decision Making: The Mindset of the Decisive Leader. I would like to share this with you to empower your people to excel when it truly matters. Failure is not an option.
